General Counselling

in person or online

£40

No two people understand the same language in the same way;

They will enable the client to explore aspects of their life and feelings, by talking openly and freely. Talking like this is rarely possible with family or friends, who are likely to be emotionally involved and have opinions and biases that may affect the discussion. Talking to a counselor gives clients the opportunity to express difficult feelings such as anger, resentment, guilt and fear in a confidential environment.

The ultimate aim of counselling is to enable the client to make their own choices, reach their own decisions and act upon them.

Addiction Counselling

in person or online

£40

Kicking the habit of prescription drugs, street drugs or alcohol -- or any other substance use disorder -- is a major achievement. You have a lot to be proud of, yet you still have some work ahead of you. Detox is only the start of a long process through which you’ll learn to manage cravings and avoid relapse.

Counseling is a mainstay of substance use disorder treatment for many people. Cognitive behavioral therapy, family counseling, and other types of therapy can help you stay clean. Psychotherapy can also treat other mental health conditions that often play a role in substance abuse.

Hypnotherapy

£45/ 30 mins

Hypnotherapy and counselling are both talking therapies in their own right. Hypnotherapy involves being put into a trance state and your subconscious mind opening up to the positive suggestions that the therapist plants. Counselling involves discussion with your therapist to explore and work through your issues, eventually coming to your own resolutions. Hypnotherapy seeks to influence the subconscious mind, whereas counselling works with the conscious. Within counselling, there are many approaches, and indeed in hypnotherapy there are multiple methods and techniques too, but we’ll look at both therapies as a whole for now
